Introduzione: l'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità promuove il metodo SBAR (Situation Background Assessment Recommendation) come standard per il passaggio di consegna tra professionisti sanitari. Tuttavia, in Terapia Intensiva non esiste una checklist universalmente condivisa per guidare le consegne infermieristiche. Questo studio si propone di implementare una checklist basata sul metodo SBAR e di valutarne l’aderenza da parte del campione, oltre a misurare l’efficacia di un percorso formativo dedicato.

Materiali e Metodi: studio osservazionale monocentrico articolato in quattro fasi, con un campione composto da 28 infermieri di Terapia Intensiva.

Risultati: la checklist ha registrato un’aderenza compilativa del 68% (n=407). Il percorso di formazione ha mostrato un incremento significativo nelle conoscenze degli infermieri (media pre-training: 6,2; media post-training: 8,5; p=0,02).

Discussione: l’adozione della checklist supportata da un corso di formazione ad hoc, ha permesso un passaggio di consegne più standardizzato, guidando gli infermieri nel passaggio di informazioni sostanziali sul paziente di Terapia Intensiva, migliorando la completezza delle informazioni stesse e riducendo il rischio di errori.

Conclusione: la checklist implementata si conferma uno strumento promettente per la continuità assistenziale e la sicurezza in Terapia Intensiva, evidenziando il valore della formazione per la sua efficace implementazione.
