Introduzione: il posizionamento di cateteri venosi periferici in pazienti con accesso venoso difficile (DVA) causa alti tassi di insuccesso anche per operatori esperti. L’impiego della guida ecografica (US-guided peripheral access, USPA) ha dimostrato di aumentare il successo nell’incannulamento rispetto ai tentativi “blind“. Questo studio ha valutato la capacità di apprendimento e l'efficacia della tecnica USPA in pazienti DVA su infermieri con scarsa esperienza professionale e privi di esperienza ecografica.
