l’utilizzo dell’Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxigenation (ECMO)[1,2] è notevolmente au- mentato negli ultimi 15 anni, sia per le indica- zioni che riguardano il supporto cardiaco, sia per quanto riguarda il supporto respiratorio.Le diverse configurazioni tecniche e le nuove superfici eparinate dei circuiti, hannodiminuito, ma non azzerato il rischio emorragi- co indotto dall’ECMO.
