L’arresto cardiaco extra-ospedaliero è attualmente una della cause di morte più frequenti nei paesi industrializzati.Numerosi studi sostengono ampiamente l’importanza dell’educazione alle manovre rianimatorie rivolta alla popolazione laica come possibile strategia per contrastare l’arresto cardiaco, arrivando ad ipotizzare perfino di poterla inserire stabilmente all’interno dei programmi sco-lastici fin dalla scuola primaria. Nonostante ciò, in Italia l’educazione alle manovre rianimatorie nei confronti dei bambini/ragazzi in età scolarepermane qualcosa di scarsamente approfondito.
