The National Committee for Bioethics (CNB), published an opinion on 9 December 2021 entitled "Assessment of death according to the cardiocirculatory criterion and controlled donation: ethical and legal aspects". The document was produced following a request for clarification for emerging bioethical aspects, received by the Italian Society of Anesthesia Analgesia Intensive Care and Resuscitation (SIAARTI), by the National Transplantation Center (CNT) and the Italian Society of Organ Transplants (SITO).
