Nel 2008 Scenario pubblicò un articolo nel quale pionieristicamente si descriveva l’allora decennale esperienza di Terapia Intensiva (TI) “aperta†della TI Pediatrica, della Clinica De Marchi del Policlinico di Milano, come una realtà bella ed intensa, ricca di emozioni per gli operatori, per i pazienti ed i loro familiari e concludeva augurandosi che negli anni a venire si sarebbero aperte altre TI[1]. Anni fa i colleghi, seppur in un contesto particolarmente dotato di sensibilità come quello pediatrico, avevano già colto l’importanza di una modalità di essere TI che va oltre il fare TI, anche per il paziente adulto.Â
