Introduzione: in una società in continua evoluzione si parla sempre più frequentemente di “Ospedale Aperto†anche se tale modello organizzativo non viene ancora applicato nella maggior parte delle Unità Operative. Fino ad ora è stata dedicata poca attenzione a questa tematica nelle realtà se non di Terapia Intensiva e di Pediatria e soprattutto l’ingresso dei familiari accanto ai pazienti adulti in un Dipartimento d’Emergenza sembra essere un’utopia.
