Introduzione: la difficoltà degli ospedali di far fronte alla mancanza dei posti letto, saturati dal quotidiano sovraffollamento dei pron-to soccorso e la difficoltà nel dimettere i pazienti, è un tema attuale che coinvolge tutti gli ospedali italiani.
