Introduzione: A causa del ruolo fondamentale nella gestione delle vittime di violenza, alcuni infermieri sono ripetutamente a contatto con i traumi delle persone che assistono, devono ascoltare i loro racconti, curarne le ferite e alleviarne le sofferenze, in particolarmodo chi lavora nell’ambito dell’emergenza. Questi infermieri sono sottoposti a numerosi fattori di stress, accumulano il dolore che emerge dairacconti delle vittime e che deriva dal prestargli soccorso. Ciò li rende più vulnerabili e li pone in una condizione di rischio per l’instaurarsi di con- dizioni negative, che si possono ripercuotere sia sulla loro vita professionale sia sulla vita privata e relazionale.
