Abstract

Introduzione: la situazione di sofferenza che l’infermiere vive quando “riconosce la cosa giusta da fare e tuttavia per impedimenti istituzionali gli è impossibile seguire il giusto corso d’azione” è descritta
in letteratura come moral distress. L’infermiere, costretto ad agire “in modo contrario ai suoi valori personali e professionali”, vede compromessa la sua “integrità e autenticità”. La letteratura indica
