Introduzione: quantificare la complessità assistenziale di un paziente consente di identificare il fabbisogno infermieristico adeguato al soddisfacimento dei sui bisogni. Questo concetto, assume una particolare rilevanza nei reparti di terapia intensiva, dove le caratteristiche del paziente critico possono determinare carichi di lavoro infermieristico elevati.
